Tour 7

Commentary
Tour 7 - we love doing this long trip. The photo opportunities, the amazing outback scenery, and the flora and fauna of this wonderful diverse country makes this a motorcycle trip of a lifetime.

This journey is long and you will need another holiday to just get over the excitement this tour offers. You will see many sights, meet lots of interesting people and at the end you will have seen more of Australia than most Australians!

The first part of this tour covers outback New South Wales, including the mining town of Broken Hill, the Flinders Ranges of South Australia and the famous Uluru, in the Northern Territory. Kangaroos and Emus are common sights along the roads. We head straight north to Darwin through Alice Springs and the hot springs of Mataranka. A two night stay in Darwin allows us to visit Kakadu National Park, which is crocodile country.

Travelling southeast, we cross into Queensland, visiting the towns of Mt Isa and Longreach (home of the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame). We then work our way through the outback of Queensland, crossing into New South Wales at the farming town of St George.

Our first night back in New South Wales is in Tamworth (the Country Music Hall of Fame). Riding over the beautiful Great Dividing Range, we visit the Blue Mountains. Here we stop at the 3 Sisters Lookout at Katoomba, before arriving back at our homebase of Jervis Bay, for a well earned rest with an experience of a lifetime in our swag.
